Landscape painting in Jamestown/Newport, Rhode Island

​

This workshop is for painters of all levels. Students will have the opportunity to paint all day for 6 consecutive days. We will be working outside each day with a painting session before lunch and again in the afternoon.

​

Demonstrations will be given. Personal instruction during the week will be tailored to the individual students needs. Building confidence, enjoying the bliss of painting outdoors and coming away with a few good paintings is our goal. At the end of the week we will have a group critique for those who wish to participate.

This workshop is unique in that all meals are included. We will all be lodging together and sharing meals which creates a very satisfying feeling of camaraderie and friendship over the course of the week. It also makes for a very relaxing experience: at the end of the day of painting students can rest and then join the group for a glass of wine and conversation while their dinner is being prepared.

 

We will be staying in quiet Jamestown which is a 10 minute drive from Newport. We will paint in both places during the week.
